The working principle of the HGL high-temperature constant power heating cable is the same as that of the HBL parallel constant power heating cable, and its structure is similar. It can be used in hazardous areas Zone 1 and Zone 2 with explosive gas mixtures in groups T3-T6. The main difference lies in the use of nickel-plated stranded wire for the core, nickel-plated copper wire for the shielding layer, high-temperature fire-resistant glass fiber for the outer sheath of the bus wire, and polytetrafluoroethylene (PFA) for the insulation and jacket layers. It can be used continuously at temperatures up to 260°C.
The HGL high-temperature constant power heating cable is suitable for heat tracing and insulation of pipelines with medium temperatures below 190°C. It is especially suitable for heat tracing and insulation of pipelines carrying asphalt, heavy oil, residue oil, and high-viscosity oils. It is also suitable for steam purge lines with temperatures below 260°C.
